Chunky Homemade Pesto

A chunky take on homemade pesto. This recipe will give extra texture and a delicious fragrant taste to any recipe: pesto, sandwiches or pizza.


Serving: 3-4 people

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes (depending on pasta)

Total time: 20 minutes


  • 90g olive oil

  • 35g nuts (I used a mix of pine nuts, cashews and sunflower seeds)

  • 35g fresh basil leaves

  • 10g lemon juice

  • 5g garlic (roasted or raw)

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste


  1. Grossly blend all ingredients in a mixer

  2. Add sauce to you favorite pasta or recipe
